As companies deploy AI agents to handle complex, multi-step tasks, the underlying data retrieval infrastructure has emerged as a significant engineering bottleneck, with teams routinely stitching together five or six separate systems. Antfly's approach of collapsing that stack into a single engine addresses a real operational cost that scales with every new AI deployment. One early customer, Visiting Media, used the platform to index more than 100 terabytes of media and text in under 24 hours with a team of three engineers, illustrating how retrieval infrastructure can constrain or accelerate AI rollouts at scale.
